George and Donella East are happy and proud ( to say nothing of being very relieved) to announce the arrival of a new member of the family. .jpg)
All 125,000 words of French Impressions: Brittany have now been written, and George has reached his two favourite words any book he writes, which are, naturally: THE END. The script is now with a number of top publishing companies, and will be offered to the one which offers the most buckets of cash in advance as the Easts are currently flying on empty. Watch this space for details of progress with potential publishers. If all are too mean to lash out great heaps of wonga on our hero, he will be extra nice to his wife and ask her to publish the new book. If that is the case, a precise publication date wil be forthcoming. In the meantime, Plan 'A' is that the Easts will move on to another ( warmer) part of France as the setting for the next regional book in the French Impressions series. Before they leave Brittany, though, George will be cruising the canals and rivers of the region in a daring expedition to form the basis of a 'quickie' book about his favourrite waterside towns and places and bars and restaurants. Especially the bars and restaurants. As we said earlier, watch this space for ongoing reports of the publishing world's reaction to the new best-seller...
